What’s the problem…
If you or someone you know and care about has a disability or is elderly, you know each day presents many challenges others do not face. And while there are many products and services to make their lives easier, finding them is not always easy. Getting the help you need should not be one more challenge. Sure there are many places on the internet to find national and regional resources, but finding local resources is much more difficult.
...and how can we fix it?
Quite simply, we fix the problem together as a community. DisabledCincinnati.org is a grassroots effort to develop a website for the disabled, seniors and caregivers in the Greater Cincinnati area. The goal is to have the community contribute to the building of a database of resources by sharing what they have learned in their search for information. Regardless of our situation, we share many of the same challenges. If we pool our knowledge, we can help each other, our families, caregivers and healthcare professionals.
